Here we are, once again, picking up the pieces of other’s neglect…
Yet another precious senior soul abandoned to fend for herself on the street. Taken to the nearest shelter she sat waiting for those who promised to love her forever, but no one ever called, no one ever came. Just one look at her and we knew we made the right life saving decision.
Meet Margarita; found emaciated, visually impaired, severe dental disease and a heart murmur just to name a few – she needed us and a special place to live out her remaining golden years where she will be loved and cared for as she should have been her entire life.
We are angry, we are sad, her condition is abysmal. But most of all we see the sadness in her eyes – the look of hope, the longing to be loved and wanting someone to make everything alright.
