Soaring To New Heights

Angel is an extremely sweet 14-year-old who is enjoying being loved and spoiled by all of us here at Paws Give Me Purpose; we are happy to report that this week’s radiographs came back with clear results. The pneumonia has cleared up and her lungs are looking great!

Although Angel still needs to finish up her final round of antibiotics, and remain on her supplements permanently, the Veterinarian has given us permission to allow her to begin meeting the other tiny members of our Sanctuary as she is no longer contagious.

We hope and pray Angel will continue to remain in good health and will enjoy the remainder of her golden years here in Sanctuary with all the other pups.

We never gave up on Angel, Angel never gave up on us!

Paws Give Me Purpose will do whatever is necessary to help her and give her everything she needs to have the life she truly deserves.

Keeping Her Spirit Strong

Spirit is fighting to get back to health surrounded by all of the amazing people here at Paws Give Me Purpose who continue to care for her round the clock. We are hand feeding her, spending lots of alone time with her, and giving her much needed medical care.

We will not give up on Spirit and will continue doing whatever is necessary to make sure Spirit is strong enough to continue to fight.

To this date, our medical bills are in excess of $5,000. Thank you to everyone who has helped with donations, prayers and shares. None of this is possible without your support.

Please continue to help us help Spirit. She is a bright, energetic girl with her whole life ahead of her. Asking for money is not an easy thing to do, but we can not afford all of these medical bills and need your help!

Spirit Update

The Veterinarian called last night after surgery to let us know that it was successful. He was able to repair the torn muscle, clean out the blood under the skin and had to remove a large portion of necrotic tissue which is being sent to the lab for testing.

This morning were informed that they had been attempting to offer food and Spirit was not eating. Due to some of her normal issues, including fear of strangers, being in the hospital environment was not helping.

He asked that we bring her food, as she is used to eating homemade dog food and stated he felt it may be best to send her back to Paws Give Me Purpose for the remainder of her supportive care. He would instruct us on how to drain the pump that has been installed to continuously drain the blood.

We just returned from the specialty hospital with Spirit. The surgical bill alone is $3,524.71. That is in addition to all the other Emergency care.

We open our hearts to you to plead you help continue to help Spirit as well as all of the other pups here in Sanctuary that depend on us. Spirit is a bright, energetic girl with her whole life ahead of her. Asking for money is not an easy thing to do, but we can not afford all of these medical bills and need your help!
