Even during this difficult time, Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. is still trying our best to save lives.
Please join us in welcoming our newest Sanctuary residents who came all the way from Texas, Calvin and Hobbes.
These tiny 5 and 7 pound boys were seized from a hoarding situation and sadly dogs their age have little opportunities and we have stepped in to bring them into Sanctuary. These boys are just 2 dogs of the 200 animals rescued from a hoarding case in Texas. You can read the full story about the raid on the home at the following link:
Calvin and Hobbes arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose late Wednesday afternoon and have been decompressing and getting familiar with their new environment. Today they received a much needed bath!
Calvin is a long haired Chihuahua, almost 21 years old and has a grade 5-6 heart murmur, is not neutered, has no teeth and no bottom jaw at all. He has bilateral nuclear sclerosis (hazy, cloudy eyes), was covered in fleas, had overgrown nails, and has urine stained fur.
Hobbes is a Chi-Weenie, 20 years of age, who is neutered, visually impaired and deaf. He had hookworms, overgrown nails, suffers from some muscle atrophy, very little teeth, and severe periodontal disease.
Despite the life of cruelty these two have lived through, they are extremely loving, sweet, and enjoy attention. Both gentlemen will be seeing the Vet tomorrow and will receive the expert medical care they deserve.
Our promise to these beautiful souls is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. Stay tuned for updates about these beautiful senior souls!
