This is Pop-Tart.
Pop-Tart was found on the streets of Trenton New Jersey.
Pop-Tart was eating trash out of a dumpster.
How or why he was out there on the street are still a mystery.
Paws Give Me Purpose stepped in and pulled Pop-Tart to safety.
Pop-Tart arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose dirty, tired, full of fleas and with overgrown nails.
We made sure Pop-Tart received much needed TLC and Vet Care.
No owner ever stepped forward to claim or look for Pop-Tart.
Pop-Tart was obviously unwanted and unloved, disposed of like yesterday’s newspaper.
Pop-Tart had a very grumpy personality, he was a biter and not a lover of all humans.
Pop-Tart did not like to be touched, picked up or groomed.
Pop-Tart is also extremely people and dog selective, picking fights with those he does not care for.
Paws Give Me Purpose was told to give up, Pop-Tart could not be helped.
We never gave up on Pop-Tart.
Pop-Tart is still a biter but has learned that not all humans are mean.
Pop-Tart lives in sanctuary and has learned to trust us here at Paws Give Me Purpose. Pop-Tart has learned that humans can love.
We never gave up on Pop-Tart.
Pop-Tart never gave up on us.
Pop-Tart is the Paws Give Me Purpose resident “grumpy old man”.
Pop-Tart has regained faith in humans, especially those that care for him.

This Is Paco
This is Paco.
Paco was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.
Paco was just 6-months-old.
Paco was one of many hoarded chihuahuas.
Paco’s owner was discovered to be a hoarder upon his death.
The home was full of trash and feces.
The dogs were tiny and emaciated.
Paco and his siblings were pulled to safety.
Paco arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose hating all humans.
Paco had many behavioral and medical issues.
Paco received much needed medical care, proper nutrition and TLC.
Paco was a fighter, but unfortunately not all of his siblings were.
Paco was one of the only to survive.
We never gave up on Paco.
Paco was a biter, not a lover.
Paco would try to bite everyone, especially men.
Paco’s neglect left mental scarring.
Paco lives in sanctuary and has learned to trust.
Until today, Paco trusts only one human the most, his rescuer.
Paco is slowly learning that humans can love.
Paco still fears strangers.
We never gave up on Paco; Paco never gave up on us.
Paco is learning to have faith in humans.
Help us save other dogs like Paco!

Shattered Hearts
Our hearts are shattered after discovering this morning that Mocha has crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night peacefully in her sleep.
Mocha came from a horrible past of abuse and neglect; she was a fighter and we fought along right beside her. We did everything we possibly could to help her on this journey.
In the last few months that she was here in sanctuary, she knew love and finally learned that not all humans are unkind.
Thank you all so much for caring and for being a support to us during this time.
