Mocha needs you.
Without YOU we cannot help those that need us most.
Mocha is literally a skeleton under that shirt.
If you look closely at Mochas photo you can see her spine protruding from the little shirt we put on her.
A skeleton with barely any hair, and sores all over her little body.
Mocha is extremely fragile, can barely walk, and has a difficult time breathing.
Mocha received emergency care and is currently taking 5 different medications daily.
One of us, a human being, did this to Mocha.
This is the sad reality of the world we live in.
We must be Mochas voice, and the voices for all the innocent animals who cannot speak for themselves.
It’s amazing Mocha survived.
An innocent beautiful little senior dog neglected her entire life by those she thought loved her.
Our hearts are shattered, by her story.
Tears were shed upon her arrival.
We knew that we must pick up the pieces and help Mocha.
Mocha is a fighter.
Mocha has a terrific appetite.
Paws Give Me Purpose will do whatever is necessary to help her, and give her everything she needs to have the life she truly deserves.
We will never give up on Mocha.

This is Mocha.
Mocha arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose today to receive much needed care.
Mocha is a very fragile 6-year-old Chihuahua mix.
Mocha was seized by Animal Control and removed from the home where she was neglected.
Mocha was brought to the BARCS Animal Shelter in Maryland.
Mocha is extremely underweight.
Mocha was starved, every bone in her body sticks out.
Mocha was covered in fleas, has sores all over her body, alopecia and dermatitis.
Mocha can barely walk due to an injury and extremely overgrown nails.
Mocha has difficulty breathing and has been diagnosed with COPD, or chronic bronchitis.
Mochas white blood cell count is extremely high.
Mocha’s condition was extremely grave and her life was at risk.
Mocha received emergency Veterinary care.
Mocha has had an extremely difficult and traumatizing life.
Mocha is now safe.
Paws Give Me Purpose will do everything possible to help her have the best life going forward.
Which includes the expert medical care she needs and deserves.
Mocha needs to start life from scratch, because until now she hasn’t really lived.
Mocha needs everything.
Lots of love, a warm bed, blankets, toys, food, supplements, medications…
Mocha needs lots of TLC, and to learn how to play and be a dog.
Mocha is a fighter and we hope and pray she will make a full recovery, will enjoy life, and find the home she truly deserves.
Even after the horrible life Mocha has endured, she is extremely loving and sweet.
Mocha is learning what real love is all about for the first time in her life.
We will never give up on Mocha.

This is Pancake.
Pancake is a Pug.
Today Pancake is celebrating his 12th Birthday.
We rescued Pancake and his brother Waffles from a backyard breeder over 11 years ago.
Pancake was our first rescue.
Dogs were stuffed into enclosures on top of one another struggling, crying, begging to get out.
Pancake was very sick and balding with eye ulcers. He was dragging his back leg.
We knew we had to get Pancake out of there.
The breeder didn’t want Pancake.
We got him for free.
Pancake had Demodectic mange.
Pancake almost went blind.
Pancake received immediate medical attention.
Pancake was in a lot of pain.
Pancake never let his discomfort stop him.
Pancake came to Paws Give Me Purpose and we helped his body heal.
Pancake has the most resilient spirit.
He never lets anything get him down, he is always happy.
Paws Give Me Purpose was told to give up, Pancake could not be helped.
We never gave up on Pancake.
Pancake made a remarkable recovery.
Pancake learned to be a dog.
Pancake learned to trust.
Pancake learned that humans can love.
Pancake loves humans and dogs alike.
We never gave up on Pancake.
Pancake never gave up on us.
Pancake lives here at Paws Give Me Purpose and is part of our family.
Pancake has taught us many important life lessons.
To live in the moment, overcome fear with love, not hold grudges, and greet every day with optimism.
To play every day, jump for joy, to accept yourself, enjoy the journey, take time relax, drink lots of water, take time to appreciate the small things, be loyal, dependable, and love unconditionally.
Happy Birthday Pancake, thank you for giving us purpose by showing us yours.
We love you very much.
