Resilient Spirit

URGENT FUNDS NEEDED!

Last night our Sanctuary resident, Spirit, sustained an injury in the yard. At the time, the wound seemed superficial.

Late last night we rushed her to the Emergency Vet as she began to heavily bleed.

The cause is unknown, but Spirit is currently stable. Testing and surgical consult are in progress.

Dear friends and followers, we can not continue to do any of this without you. Today, we open our hearts to you to plead you help us save Spirit. She is a bright, energetic girl with her whole life ahead of her. Asking for money is not an easy thing to do, but we can not afford all of these medical bills and need your help!

We will continue to post updates about spirit as we have information.

Spreading Her Wings

Our little Angel is making wonderful progress; she is taking her medications, and supplements like a champ! She is breathing better every day, loves to eat (especially if it’s something our staff is having), and is much more active and alert. For 14 this little one has lots of spunk and she is full of life!

We are headed to the Vet later this week for a recheck and another set of radiographs to be sure her lungs are continuing to show healing progress. We will update you all again after our visit.

Until now, Angel has her own room here at Paws Give Me Purpose, but As soon as the Veterinarian gives the all clear that she is not contagious, we will slowly introduce her to the other tiny members of our Sanctuary.

Angel is extremely sweet and is enjoying being loved and spoiled by all of us here at Paws Give Me Purpose. She is a fighter and we hope and pray she will make a full recovery, and will enjoy her life here in Sanctuary with all the other pups.

We will never give up on Angel – please help us give Angel the wonderful life she truly deserves! Help us continue to help Angel, and all the other pups living here in Sanctuary!

This Is Lazarus

This is Lazarus.
Lazarus is a Boston Terrier.
We rescued Lazarus from a backyard breeder; she was breeding dogs to sell as show dogs.
She considered Lazarus a defective dog because he wasn’t the ideal show dog.
Lazarus was neglected, and living outside.
Through intense heat, rain, sleet, snow, wind, thunder and lightning.
Lazarus was very scared.
When informed of the circumstances we drove 6 hours away to aid in rescue efforts.
We pulled Lazarus to safety.
Lazarus arrived at Paws Give Me Purpose very fearful of many things, including humans.
We never gave up on Lazarus!
Lazarus lives in sanctuary and has learned to trust.
Lazarus has learned that humans can love.
Lazarus has learned to be less afraid, but still has some issues.
We never gave up on Lazarus.
Lazarus never gave up on us.
Lazarus has regained faith in humans,
help us save other dogs like Lazarus!
