Road To Recovery

Spirit has had her drain and pump removed and is on the road to recovery.

She hates being restricted to a room here at Paws Give Me Purpose, and really hates wearing that giant cone. She is very cranky and frustrated, but who could blame her? Unfortunately, she is in no shape to run around and play.

Spirit is enjoying being spoiled with homemade food (medications hidden inside) and one on one time with the staff. She still needs you to continue to pray for her, and send positive wishes her way.

We will revisit with the surgeon this coming weekend and hopefully Spirit will be able to have her sutures removed.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and for the outpouring of support from around the globe.

We believe that dogs like Spirit matter and we cannot help her or others like her without all of YOU!

Give So They Can Live

Due to a recent medical emergency with one of our Sanctuary residents, we have had to make a very difficult decision – intake is closed.

We believe that all dogs deserve a second chance at life – especially seniors, those with physical disabilities, terminal illness, behavioral issues or have been abused and need someone to care for, love, and understand them.

We do not have the medical funds required to pay off Spirit’s hospital bill and the dogs that are here living in Sanctuary need to be our priority.

Our promise to these beautiful souls is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. These dogs came to us because no one else stepped up to help them during their time of need. Our sanctuary is a home for those who have none. We provide love and special care to these dogs.

We need your support to continue to provide our Sanctuary residents with lifetime care. All donations go directly towards the care of the Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary residents. Unlike other rescues, directors and board members never have and never will take a salary.

Soaring To New Heights

Angel is an extremely sweet 14-year-old who is enjoying being loved and spoiled by all of us here at Paws Give Me Purpose; we are happy to report that this week’s radiographs came back with clear results. The pneumonia has cleared up and her lungs are looking great!

Although Angel still needs to finish up her final round of antibiotics, and remain on her supplements permanently, the Veterinarian has given us permission to allow her to begin meeting the other tiny members of our Sanctuary as she is no longer contagious.

We hope and pray Angel will continue to remain in good health and will enjoy the remainder of her golden years here in Sanctuary with all the other pups.

We never gave up on Angel, Angel never gave up on us!

Paws Give Me Purpose will do whatever is necessary to help her and give her everything she needs to have the life she truly deserves.
