This weekend has been a whirlwind of activity here at Paws Give Me Purpose, but we did not want to let it come to a close without introducing you all to our newest Sanctuary resident Ruby.
Ruby arrived Saturday morning and has spent the last couple of days getting herself acclimated to her new surroundings as she is almost completely blind.
Please join us in welcoming Ruby as she begins this new chapter in her life.
Stay tuned in the next couple of days for her complete story – it is beyond heartbreaking.
Every day is National Dog Day here at Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. In honor of our favorite holiday we wanted to share a fabulous Houston Happy Tails update!
National Dog Day was designed to encourage canine ownership along with raising awareness of the plight of man’s best friend. It celebrates all dogs, mixed breed and pure. Whether mixed or purebred, we embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe, and abuse-free life. Dog’s give us companionship, keep us safe, and even aid those in need. Dogs play many roles in our lives, including keep us healthy, both physically and mentally.
We know that everyone is feeling stressed from the horrible injustices, sickness and distress in our world so we wanted to bring some happy news your way and smiles to your faces.
Without going into a lengthy speech about the work we do, why we do it, and what we believe, we are just going to say that these photos speak for themselves and remind us why we continue to do what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.
What matters is that Houston is very happy, healthy, well behaved, and has found his best friend; he and his dad do everything together. Sometimes someone comes into your life that changes everything, and Houston hit the jackpot. We honestly could not have asked for a better dad for Houston, and we are very glad they found each other. It is very clear they completely adore each other!
We hope you can all take a moment today to smile, even if it’s only for a second and if you shed a tear today it’s happy tears for Houston.
It’s important at times like this that we take a step back and appreciate the world around us by talking a short walk with our four-legged friends, or reading some happy news about dog adoptions.
