Waldo’s Struggle

Have you found Waldo yet? That’s right! He’s here with us at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary – and that is thanks to each and every one of you.

Tomorrow, Waldo will be heading to our Vet to have abdominal radiographs performed. His latest blood work was mostly unremarkable, however it did show some elevated liver enzymes.

Unfortunately, Waldo continues to struggle with keeping food down long after the food should have been digested, as well as seeming to want to eat so badly then not being able to. We are very concerned and working closely with our Veterinary team to get to the root of these issues.

While we hate to continue to ask for money, we know that in order to sustain operations, help Waldo and all of our current Sanctuary residents, it is what we must do.

We are not going to mince words here, due to the nature of the kind of work we do, our Vet bills are growing and sadly, donations are not — we need your help, and we need it now!

We ask that you please open your hearts and send your most generous gift to help us with their urgent medical care. 100% of all donations go directly toward the care of the Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary residents; no amount is too small.

Please share to keep our doors opened – we cannot do any of this without your support; and things aren’t looking very good for us right now.

Update On Waldo

Early this morning, we brought Waldo to our Vet to see how his surgical site was healing, remove his staples and have a full blood panel done including an urgent GI panel.

His staples were removed, but we sadly learned that Waldo has continued to lose more weight (down to 11 pounds when he was 13) even though he is eating very well.

This is extremely concerning and we will do everything in our power to get to the root of the issue and help him.

In the meantime, Waldo is happy to be cone free as we await the results of today’s tests. Pending the outcome of the results, Waldo is tentatively scheduled for a dental and a neuter on June 4th.

Please send some positive vibes and prayers Waldos way – we could really use them.

Update On Tito

Tito is back at Paws Give Me Purpose resting and recuperating after a very difficult day.

To say we were on edge today was an understatement; Tito is not an easy dog to handle behaviorally. We were also very concerned about his body temperature dropping like last time – thankfully that did not happen.

A huge shout out of gratitude goes to our Veterinary team at House Paws Mobile Veterinary Service for dealing with Tito today – we value your work with all our Sanctuary residents; what you do for them and us is beyond measure!

Please continue to keep Tito in your thoughts and prayers.
