This past week, Paws Give Me Purpose welcomed Sky into our hearts and Sanctuary. This precious senior soul almost lost his life, because he was considered too old and too sick for anyone to want him. 

This tiny boy lost the only family he ever knew when he was surrendered to the Brooklyn ACC shelter with some pretty serious medical issues, including a mass on his lower back. We just could not turn down the urgent plea for help. 

After giving 13 years of love, loyalty, and devotion to his humans, Sky deserves to be loved and treated with dignity — not to be tossed away like yesterday’s newspaper. We need YOUR help in order to give Sky everything he needs, including the best Vet care possible; we never settle for substandard care. We just hope we were in time to give this sweetheart the golden years he deserves.

Sadly, Sky arrived sick from the shelter with pneumonia and will need to remain in quarantine while undergoing treatment.

Beautiful Rosita is yet another senior dog who found herself surrendered to a shelter by a family she thought would love her forever. This tiny senior was broken hearted and very afraid. So much so she would growl and snap at anyone who tried to get near her.
