Sponsor Blondie

For many of the dogs who make Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary their home, it is the first time in their lives they feel safe and loved.

Beautiful Blondie was found in a cardboard box by a dumpster, discarded like a piece of garbage. What hurts the most is that the heartless human who did this to her is still out there somewhere. It’s just unfathomable the unnecessary cruelty that people can commit and then walk away.

We know that we cannot erase the pain of her past, but we can promise she will NEVER suffer again!

Blondie has come a long way since her arrival to our Sanctuary, but believe it or not, she is still in search of her very own sponsor.

Blondie and all of our Sanctuary residents need people with extra big hearts to help us give them their second chance at life and becoming a sponsor helps make it possible for us to give Blondie and other dogs like her everything they need.

Will you be the one to make her wish come true? If you are interested in signing up to be Blondie’s sponsor please head over to:

Helping Hearts

Pictured here is tiny Inky receiving the extra special cuddles he craves from one of our very committed volunteers.

Although our staff is dedicated and knowledgeable, extra helping hands and hearts are necessary for the important work in which we are involved.

We could never do what we do without the help of our wonderful volunteers!

For Inky and all our Sanctuary residents, it’s the simple things in life that are the greatest things. They are absolutely much better than we are when it comes to making the most out of life, and their love, loyalty and gratitude is simply immeasurable.

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” – Elizabeth Andrew

Welcome Heath

Recently, one of our shelter partners reached out to us about a tiny senior boy in dire need of a special kind of retirement home. Even though our bank account is depleted, we simply could not allow this boy to die due to his age and lack of space.

Meet Heath! This adorable 6 pound boy was tossed out like trash, found wandering the streets of Baltimore alone and frightened. The person who found him brought him to the shelter, but there was no chip found, so Heath sat and waited for his family to come and find him. Unfortunately, no one ever came.

In addition to a host of senior medical issues, Heath is also cryptorchid and we will need to perform an ultrasound in order to determine the location and condition of his testicles. There is a risk when a dog is cryptorchid that they may suffer from testicular cancer, and we are praying he is cancer free.

Heath is a bit skittish with humans, and we are not surprised – someone clearly broke his trust. However, once he gets to know you, he forms a quick bond and he has already begun to make many dog friends here at the Sanctuary.

While we hate to ask for money, we need your support to continue to provide all of our Sanctuary residents with lifetime care. Your generosity and kindness helps sustain Paws Give Me Purpose, making it possible for dogs with special needs like Heath to live in the safe, loving, family-like environment of our Sanctuary.

Donations are at an all time low, and the reality is, our expenses greatly outweigh the donations we receive. We are working hard to make sure that the dogs here in Sanctuary have all their needs met and that has to be our priority!

Please consider making a lifesaving gift today! All donations help us fight to give dogs like Heath the opportunity to live the best life possible. We cannot do this without YOU!
