Asking for money isn’t easy for anyone to do, but what is even more difficult is asking when so many are out of work and struggling themselves.

We are dealing with a very sad atmosphere and critical time here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary.

Our funds have been drained and due to the COVID-19 situation donations have sadly come to a dead stop.

Paws Give Me Purpose can’t help any more dogs without your support and the dogs already living here in Sanctuary need to be our priority; they need you now more than ever.

With 2 new senior pups scheduled to arrive, Sanctuary donations are desperately needed.

Due to the passing of our very beloved Pancake, we will not be publishing a Featured Dog Friday this week. 

Everything is very different here the last couple of days and there is extreme sadness in the air. Pancake was a very important part of us, our hearts, souls and lives here at Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. and his loss has left a gaping hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. This does not just include humans, but all of the dogs living here in Sanctuary. 

Pancake lived here at Paws Give Me Purpose and was part of our family. He taught us many important life lessons. To live in the moment, overcome fear with love, not hold grudges, and greet every day with optimism. To play every day, jump for joy, to accept yourself, enjoy the journey, take time to relax, drink lots of water, take time to appreciate the small things, be loyal, dependable, and love unconditionally. 

The very day we rescued Pancake, the Spirit of Paws Give Me Purpose was born. Pancake, thank you for giving us purpose by showing us yours. We love you very much, and you will be forever in our hearts, Pancake!

All that we love deeply becomes a part of us…the hardest part is saying goodbye.

It is with great sadness that we inform all of you that we had to help our handsome Pancake cross the Rainbow Bridge late last night. It was a difficult decision to make, but he passed peacefully in a room full of love.

Our hearts are shattered. The very day we rescued Pancake in May of 2007, the Spirit of Paws Give Me Purpose was born.

Thank you all so much for caring and for being a support to us during this time. May our mission continue on in Pancake’s spirit.
