Lucy Popping In

Beautiful Miss Lucy is stopping by today to wish you all a Happy and Healthy 2021 as she begins this new year and new life pain free.

Lucy is enjoying the beautiful weather and some supervised cone free time here at the Sanctuary.

Her body, soul and heart are healing.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Miss Lucy Checking In

Once again, we must state that inappropriate comments will be deleted.

To those who do not believe saving Lucy from the unnecessary pain of her already blind eyes, it is clear you do not value her or the life-saving work we do.

For all our fabulous supporters who valued Lucy’s life from the very day she was rescued, we would like to thank you for your undying, ongoing, and heartfelt support, prayers and messages. Today we wanted to share her progress with all of you.

Today marks one week since Lucy’s surgery, and she is doing very well! She is still a bit swollen, but the swelling will go down as her stitches heal and dissolve. Her hair will grow back filling in the areas of her face that were shaved.

Lucy has an amazing appetite; in fact, she ate not one, not two, but three bowls of food at breakfast today. She is taking her anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medications along with her senior supplements, and does not exhibit any signs of discomfort or pain at all!

It is clear to us that Lucy is feeling safe and loved; her body, soul and heart are healing.

She has been sleeping well, enjoys having her hair brushed, and even allowed us to cut her nails. She has even begun some bonding with our newest senior lady, Betty Boop, who is also blind.

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. we treat every dog that comes through our doors with excellent care, compassion and love.

After being severely neglected, then dumped at a shelter by the family she thought loved her, Lucy deserves to be spoiled during her golden years. Our promise to this beautiful girl is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of her life.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

One Dog At A Time

Two of our senior Sanctuary residents, Calvin and Victor, are popping in today to say hello.

Since “tough guy” Victor’s arrival, Calvin has become his protector and his guide to the rest of the senior residents. Victor is highly selective of both dogs and people, and is dealing with abandonment issues. Calvin has been helping Victor feel safe and learn to trust the humans who are here to care for them on a daily basis.

Watching these two bond has given us incredible time to reflect on our relationships as an organization — with our volunteers, dogs, and of course our supporters. As all of us here at Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. reflect back upon this hectic year of 2020, we would like to acknowledge those who have helped and supported our organization.

Through your faith in us, and your most generous contributions, we have been able to save the lives of many very special dogs like Calvin and Victor who almost didn’t get a second chance.

The future is bright for all the dogs we fight to protect, thanks to you. The unwanted dogs here in Sanctuary have been given the gift of life because of you.

In this season of giving, we are truly at a loss when it comes to giving back to all of you in return. Mere words seem insignificant, yet that is all we have. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining us on this incredible mission to save the lives of the most beautiful yet unwanted souls.

There is still time to make a tax-deductible donation to Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. before 2020 ends and you’ll ensure that we can continue our lifesaving work. Please open your hearts and help us continue to make a difference!
