Today, Francesca celebrated a very special birthday surrounded by all her doggie and human friends here at the Sanctuary. Francesca is now a Sweet Sixteen! 

Francesca began the day with a soothing lavender bubble bath, a hair trim, a pawdicure and got all dressed up in a fabulous party bow. We made sure she was extra spoiled today with lots of treats, toys and delicious cupcakes to celebrate her big day. 

Having been found as a stray, we have no knowledge of what Francesca’s life was like prior, but sadly it was clear she was neglected and unwanted. Although she presents with many medical issues, we are making sure that she is comfortable, happy, and enjoys her golden years to the fullest!

Perhaps for the first time in her life, Francesca is feeling safe and loved; her body, soul and heart are healing.

Giving the unwanted, abused, neglected, senior, hospice and special needs animals life for no matter how long they are with us is what makes Paws Give Me Purpose a special place. We need your help and we need it now! Like many of you out there, we are struggling. Rescue is difficult, and providing Sanctuary when necessary is even more difficult. 

The dogs that call Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary home came to us when no one else stepped up for them during their critical time of need. We give them the life they may otherwise have never had. Our promise to these beautiful souls is to provide a safe and loving environment for the rest of their lives. It is often a daunting task- and at times filled with heartache, but their lives matter. 

Sadly, not everyone out there agrees with what we do. We hear things like just “put the dog out of their misery” many times – but that is not something we will do. Above all else, we at Paws Give Me Purpose put quality of life first, and these dogs deserve a chance at life, to know love, kindness and that not all humans are unkind before leaving this earth. These dogs no matter their age, special needs, or behavioral issue, are living breathing animals just like us and they have value. 

Donations are at an all time low, and we rely  primarily on fundraising to help dogs in need. We ask that you please dig deep down in your hearts and ask yourself, where would these dogs be without Paws Give Me Purpose, and those that are able their wallets – no amount is too small. 

Help keep our doors opened to those in need; give us the ability to continue our work and give all these precious unwanted souls their best lives unconditionally.

Senior dogs with special needs like our beautiful Lucy are often dumped by those who promised to love them forever on the street and in shelters. 

Your donations saved Lucy’s life and so many others. We thank you all for giving us the ability to do what we do.

All of our Sanctuary residents need people with extra-big hearts to help give them their second chance at life. 

While we hate to continue to ask for money, we need your support to continue to provide all of our Sanctuary residents with lifetime care. Your generosity and kindness helps sustain Paws Give Me Purpose Inc., making it possible for dogs with special needs like Lucy to live in the safe, loving, family-like environment of our Sanctuary.

Donations are at an all time low, and the reality is our expenses greatly outweigh the donations we receive. We are working hard to make sure that the dogs here in Sanctuary have all their needs met. That has to be our priority!
