Update On Waldo

Early this morning, we brought Waldo to our Vet to see how his surgical site was healing, remove his staples and have a full blood panel done including an urgent GI panel.

His staples were removed, but we sadly learned that Waldo has continued to lose more weight (down to 11 pounds when he was 13) even though he is eating very well.

This is extremely concerning and we will do everything in our power to get to the root of the issue and help him.

In the meantime, Waldo is happy to be cone free as we await the results of today’s tests. Pending the outcome of the results, Waldo is tentatively scheduled for a dental and a neuter on June 4th.

Please send some positive vibes and prayers Waldos way – we could really use them.

Update On Tito

Tito is back at Paws Give Me Purpose resting and recuperating after a very difficult day.

To say we were on edge today was an understatement; Tito is not an easy dog to handle behaviorally. We were also very concerned about his body temperature dropping like last time – thankfully that did not happen.

A huge shout out of gratitude goes to our Veterinary team at House Paws Mobile Veterinary Service for dealing with Tito today – we value your work with all our Sanctuary residents; what you do for them and us is beyond measure!

Please continue to keep Tito in your thoughts and prayers.

More Prayers For Tito

We come to you today asking your generous hearts for help and to send positive, healing prayers for Tito.

Tomorrow, Tito will be heading in to surgery to remove the remaining 10 rotten teeth in his mouth. For those not familiar with his story, Tito needed a total of 17 teeth extracted. They are extremely rotted and infecting his gums. These teeth are surely a cause of pain for him for far too long.

7 teeth were extracted back in February at the same time he was neutered, but Tito’s body temperature dropped a bit too low during the procedure and the Veterinary team wanted to be sure that he was not in any danger.

As much as we hated waiting to relieve his remaining discomfort, we needed to wait a couple months after his last surgery; his little body really had been through so much in a short period of time – he needed time to heal.

While Tito has been uncomfortable, he has not been in any pain. He is eating very soft food and seems to enjoy it.

While Tito’s history is a mystery due to being found as a stray, his condition reveals that until his arrival at Paws Give Me Purpose, his life was surely a difficult one and we are doing everything in our power to make it better for him – but we cannot do it without you.

Please consider making a life-saving donation. With you by our side, we can give Tito, and many more unwanted souls, a fighting chance to have the opportunity to live out their lives to the fullest.
