Giving The Unwanted Souls Life

Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. does not rescue for politics, fortune, or fame. We give the abused, neglected and the most unwanted souls a life; a chance to be loved, cherished and to learn that not all humans are unkind.

Helping dogs who no one else stepped up for during their time of need – the lives of those who otherwise would not have been and watching them blossom and enjoy life here in Sanctuary is one of the most rewarding parts of canine rescue to us.

What distinguishes Paws Give Me Purpose Inc. from other rescues is our philosophy that the Sanctuary residents come first. We act on behalf of the animals, and the staff and volunteers here all work under the notion that all animals in our Sanctuary, human and non-human, are of equal importance.

For Ginger, Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary is home. She hoped for life, for love, and someone to make everything alright, and with you by our side we made that happen. For those not familiar with Ginger’s story, please head over to:

One of the most important missions here at Paws Give Me Purpose, beyond caring for the animals that call our Sanctuary home, is educating the public. The ultimate goal is to change the way that humans think of, and treat, dogs with special needs.

For no matter how long Ginger is with us, she now has that chance to live out her golden years to the fullest. Our promise to Ginger and all our Sanctuary residents is to give them their best lives daily with unconditional love for the rest of their lives.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose.

Enjoy The Moments

Dogs really know how to live in the moment, they don’t look back and regret the past, they don’t look forward and worry about the future. They appreciate and focus on the here and now – if only us humans could learn to live this way.

Some of our Sanctuary residents sat outside  enjoying the fresh air and sunshine this morning – for them today, and everyday are now the best days of their lives.

For our Sanctuary residents the simple things in life are the greatest things. They are most definitely much better than we are when it comes to making the most out of life. And their love, loyalty and gratitude is simply immeasurable.

Life goes by in the blink of an eye – enjoy the moments.

Waldo’s Struggle

Have you found Waldo yet? That’s right! He’s here with us at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary – and that is thanks to each and every one of you.

Tomorrow, Waldo will be heading to our Vet to have abdominal radiographs performed. His latest blood work was mostly unremarkable, however it did show some elevated liver enzymes.

Unfortunately, Waldo continues to struggle with keeping food down long after the food should have been digested, as well as seeming to want to eat so badly then not being able to. We are very concerned and working closely with our Veterinary team to get to the root of these issues.

While we hate to continue to ask for money, we know that in order to sustain operations, help Waldo and all of our current Sanctuary residents, it is what we must do.

We are not going to mince words here, due to the nature of the kind of work we do, our Vet bills are growing and sadly, donations are not — we need your help, and we need it now!

We ask that you please open your hearts and send your most generous gift to help us with their urgent medical care. 100% of all donations go directly toward the care of the Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary residents; no amount is too small.

Please share to keep our doors opened – we cannot do any of this without your support; and things aren’t looking very good for us right now.
